From Samhain:
Talk about a compromising situation!
A storm of political intrigue, murderous mayhem and sexual hungers is brewing on planet Regelence.
Swarthy Intergalactic Navy Captain Nathaniel Hawkins ran from a past he had no intention of ever reliving. But when his Admiral asks him to use his peerage, as an earl and the heir to a dukedom, to investigate a missing weapons stash, he’s forced to do just that. As if being undercover on a Regency planet where the young men are supposed to remain pure until marriage isn’t bad enough, Nate finds himself attracted to the king’s unmarried son.
All Prince Aiden Townsend has ever wanted was to be an artist. He has no interest in a marriage of political fortune or becoming a societal paragon. Until he lands in the arms of the mysterious Earl of Deverell. One look at Nate’s handsome face has Aiden reconsidering his future. Not only does Nate make a virile subject for Aiden’s art, but the great war hero awakens feelings in Aiden he has never felt, feelings he can’t ignore.
After a momentous dance at a season ball, Aiden and Nate find themselves exchanging important information and working closely together. They have to fight their growing attraction long enough to find out who stole the weapons and keep themselves from a compromising situation and certain scandal.
Reason for Reading: Manlove Monday. LOL
My Thoughts: Err...kind of conflicted. I liked the story, but a few things turned me off. So let's start with the good stuff!
The characters were hot and hot for each other. Plus the whole set up of the story, Regelence as a gay Regency England on another planet, totally works. I also liked how Aiden came to fall in love with Nathaniel. Aiden struck me as this carefree young man who just wanted to concentrate on his passion, art. And yet he finds himself attracted to Nathaniel, despite his desires never to marry. Awww. That's always fun. But he doesn't fight his attraction too hard, and lets Nathaniel have his wicked way with him.
What I didn't like? How the hell can a man who is 5 feet 8 inches tall be mistaken for a child? WTF? And I didn't like how Nathaniel called Aiden "boy."
Despite that, I liked this ebook. Hmm...B? Yeah, I can go with a B. I'm definitely looking forward to more in this series. And Aiden has lots of brothers. :P

12 pokes:
Ever tried to read a yaoi manga? I think you'd love it :) it's man love at its best and it's graphic :P well at least some of it...
maybe I should try reading a man-love novel... I'll wait for another one though... :P
How the hell can a man who is 5 feet 8 inches tall be mistaken for a child? I just figured he had a baby face, you know? Like those 14-year-olds that shoot up practically overnight. :-p
i didn't like the whole "boy" thing much either. I mean, honestly, could he have been less creative with the nicknaming?? LOL
I read somewhere that she is well into writing the next book in the series. Yay!
nath-No, I've never tried. :P Any recommendations?
C2-I couldn't go with the baby face because then to me, he wouldn't have been hot. LOL
What did you think of Trouble and Aiden's older brother? I thought that was cute, hope to see more of them.
Oh, and another thing that bothered me was that each character had like 2 names.
I totally agree about the names...it is sooo easy to overdo nicknames.
I liked Trouble and the prince together (I'll investigate and see if there are hints of who gets the next book). Trouble was my favorite character in the whole story. Plus blond curls and aquamarine eyes? Oh yeah! If he only had a straight brother lurking somewhere. LOL
Yup - I'm fast. ;-)
From JL Langley's website: What’s next? The Englor Affair, Payton Townsend’s story. I’m hoping to have it finished by the end of March.
Hmmm...who might his hero be? Nate's younger brother, perhaps?
C2-Damn, you are fast! LOL That would be cool if it was Nate's younger brother.
I just started With Caution, by the same author.
Sounds interesting, a gay regency England. Might have to look for it.
P.S. did you finish Succubus Blues?
I saw the buzz about this on Lisabea's blog, and it sounded good. I love a little m/m love from time to time, and the cover is hot.
Ames~ I'm so glad you read it!! And liked it. Yay! There is something about that Nate....
How's With Caution working out for you?
Stacy~ I am really partial to this author. It's a problem. My sister was like "WHAT ARE you READING?" heh.
Kris-I did! I just need to review it. :P
Stacy-Give it a shot!
Lisabea-I got side tracked by some Demon Moon by Meljean Brook. LOL But I'll be getting back to it right quick. :P Thanks for bringing this book to my attention. What else can I get my hands on? LOL
Demon Moon, sob, my favorite book evah. No pressure, or anything.
SIgh. I need to make time to read this.
